You are invited to a performance of Theater Games presented by advanced students of The Next Stage. We present a rare & delightful array of improvisations, never seen before, performed with panache.
The show draws from exercises you may do in a TNS workshop, but presented as zany, thoughtful and thought provoking improvisational theater.
Audience may help us by giving suggestions for themes and issues from our lives to use as grist for the creative mill. You will enjoy this unique, entertaining, intellectually stimulating, fun & funny evening of Improv.
The Next Stage Training Programs is a project of TRI, Theater Residencies, Inc., a 501 C 3.
Director, performer and visionary artist, Marcia Kimmell started The Next Stage in 1979 to create a non-competitive acting school, open to total beginners, as well as professional actors & directors. She uses the brilliant techniques of her teacher, Viola Spolin, known internationally as the mother of the improvisational theater movement in the US. Spolin was the creator of Theater Games. Marcia worked with her at the Second City in Chicago for 3 years. Now, with over 40 years of experience in the field, Kimmell is a master teacher. She uses theater as a tool to develop human potential.
