Saturday, November 9th is national Veterans Glassblowing Day! Public Glass San Francisco’s center for glass art invites all Veterans for a fun and unique glassblowing experience. Pubic Glass is proud to be one of many studios across the country opening our doors for this special even to introduce Veterans to the glassblowing community. In a closely-instructed environment, participants learn the basics of working with hot glass, from safety and communication in a team to adding your choice of colors and shaping your finished piece. Each participant will make a colorful solid paperweight. Items can be picked up the next day after they are cool.

Veterans Glassblowing Day Saturday, November 9  takes place at over 27 studios and schools across the country, and offer free glass experiences through demonstrations or workshops.  The hope is to open up a community of creative individuals to our nations veterans.

Public Glass is a non-profit arts organization located in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco.
