The Veterans Media Center was asked by Assemblywoman Fiona Ma to help the JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer’s Training) program in the San Francisco schools with its public outreach and education. Interviews were conducted at the War Memorial Veterans Building as well as five high schools in the district. At the premiere of the video we were presented with a beautiful silver helmet of the Color Guard for appreciation of our effort.

The Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program within the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). The SFUSD Brigade is composed of seven high schools; Balboa, Burton, Galileo, Lincoln, Lowell, Mission and Washington. The mission statement of the JROTC program is, “To motivate young people to be better citizens.” The JROTC brigade of San Francisco strives to give young people opportunities to not only become leaders, but to become better citizens as well.
